How it's made

Every Oak & Stable plaque begins with joinery grade American white oak, chosen for is strength and outdoor durability. Your horse's / or other chosen name is carefully traced and routed out using only a palm router and care, then finished with exterior paint and natural beeswax to protect the wood and enhance its grain. Built for stable doors, each plaque is made to withstand years of weather while ageing beautifully with time.

Maintaining your name plaque

To keep the wood looking rich and protected, we recommend a simple refresh about once a year.

Remove the plaque from its location and lightly smooth the surface with fine sandpaper (220 grit or higher). This takes only a minute or two and simply freshens the finish. Wipe away any dust, then apply a light coat of natural beeswax or exterior wood oil, gently working it into the surface. A second light coat can be added if desired.

This occasional care helps protect the oak, maintain its appearance, and ensure your plaque remains a lasting feature for many years.
